FAQs

  • Start by submitting an application to Equivesto. An Equivesto team member will reach out to discuss your options and fit.

  • Limited Canadian residents, above the age of 18, and must be a Self-Certified & Accredited Investor only. It is possible to equity crowdfunding into an SPV and allow all Canadians to participate, but this will require additional documentation, fees, and participation from the company.

  • The minimum raise on Equivesto is $100,000. There is no maximum.

  • While minimums on Equivesto can go as low as $100, we always suggest issuers set minimums relative to the size of round they are hoping to raise. For Accredit Investor rounds, minimums set to $5,000, $10,000, $25,000, or $50,000 makes sense in most cases. Ultimately, it is up to you as the issuer.

  • While there is built in messaging on the Equivesto portal, we always encourage our issuers to create personalized messaging to their investors directly or a regular basis.
